==Characteristics==
Hocus chimaeras are monsters with the heads and wings of [[Bird family|vultures]], while having the lower bodies of serpents. In some games, they have slightly reddish bodies with golden feathers on their wings and around their necks. In most appearances, they have brown plumage with lighter brown on their undersides and heads. They are higher level evolutions of [[Chimaera|chimaeras]] that have gained some spellcasting ability. The hocus chimaeras also occasionally augment this by breathing fire, as well.
