An enterprising young man, he travels with the Chosen to learn the ways of the world. ==Appearance and personality== In his original appearance, Hank Hoffman Jr. is simply dressed in a white-cuffed purple shirt with purple pants and yellow shoes. A tied white cloth is draped over his shoulders and he wears a striped red and white fez. His redesign in subsequent remakes depicts him wearing a yellow-rimmed, white-sleeved purple tunic with a blue sash tied around his midsection. He dons baggy white breeches that are tucked into black boots. A thin rope is slinged over his right shoulder which holds up a green travellers' bag at his left hip. A tied yellow cloth is draped over his shoulders, and he wears a striped purple and white skullcap. He has unkempt blonde hair and brown eyes. Section-Stub clear ==Appearances== ===DQ4=== start The son of an innkeeper at the Last Chance Saloon, Hank lost faith in his friends when they seemingly betrayed him while on a quest, and as a result distrusts all humanity. However, after the Party 4 shows him the Symbol of faith they found in the Con Cave, he comes to his senses and is able to come to terms with the past. He then joins the Party 4 and brings the wagon with him. Eventually, the party reaches Mintos and helps Alena and Borya to retrieve the Feverfew root to cure an ill Kiryl. Upon leaving, Hank decides to learn his father's trade from Hilton and leaves the Party 4, giving them his wagon and his horse, Mary Lou, in thanks. end clear ====Stats==== {| style="width:65%; height:100px; text-align:center" border="1" |-<---!Headings are up first.!---> style="font-weight:bold; background:#A3AB47" | Attribute || Stats |- style="font-weight:normal" | Level || Unknown |- | HP || 96 |- | MP || 0 |- | Strength || 30 |- | Agility || 26 |- | Resilience || 13 (Not listed in the NES version) |- | Wisdom || 24 (Not listed in the NES version) |- | Luck || 22 (Not listed in the NES version) |- | Attack || 58 |- | Defence || 47 |- | Initial gear ||colspan=2|Iron lance, Bronze armour, Scale shield, Leather hat |} ====Remake changes==== *Hoffman takes the Symbol of faith when it's shown to him, whereas in the NES version it remains in the player's inventory. *He leaves upon the party entering Mintos for the first time, regardless of whether he's in the line up or not.
