She is one of Mordegon's Spectral Sentinels and the monstrous alter ego of Mia, Erik's younger sister. After the fall of Yggdrasil, she terrorizes the city of Sniflheim with her ability to turn people into gold with the Yellow Orb via the Gold Fever. She has gone on to appear in spinoff games in the series as both a boss and a recruitable monster. ==Characteristics== Gyldygga is a large monster with both lupine and draconic features covered entirely in golden armor. She has solid glowing green eyes, a large pair of curved horns on her back, and sharp claws which she uses to tear into her opponents. Her armor is decorated with filigree designs and are covered in numerous sharp spikes. At the end of her long tail, she holds the Yellow Orb, which she uses to turn her helpless victims into solid gold statues. She is the only female member of the Spectral Sentinels. ==Appearances== ===Dragon Quest XI=== ===Dragon Quest Monsters 2: Iru and Luca's Marvelous Mysterious Key=== Gyldygga appears as a S-rank monster of the Material family in the SP version of the game. ===Dragon Quest Rivals=== Gyldygga appeared as a legendary rare card exclusive for Thief leaders. ===Dragon Quest Tact=== Gyldygga appears as a S-rank monster of the Inorganic family on her own banner alongside the Golden goliath as part of the 3.0 Update Festival's Eve Back to the Golden Sands limited event. {{DQTactEnemy |name=Gyldygga |kanji=鉄鬼軍王キラゴルド |romanji=Tekkigunō Kiragorudo |sprite= |family=
Inorganic |rank= |role=
Attack |lvl=130 |hp=1,301 |mp=377 |move=3 |attack=550 |defense=475 |agility=446 |wisdom=123 |weight=50 |bskill1=Gear Shift |bskill2=Golden Breath* |bskill3=Mad Sunder* |askill1=Despot / Stats Up |askill2=Sizz Res +25 / Stats Up |askill3=Mad Sunder Potency +5% / Stats Up
Rare Successive Attack: When making a physical attack: Rarely activates a physical ability or Fight 2 times in succession |askill4=Crack Res +25 / Stats Up |askill5=Mad Sunder Potency +5% / Stats Up / Stun Success Rate +10% |lperk1=Raises DEF of inorganic allies, including itself, by 30% in a 5x5 square around it. |bperk1=Gold Fever's Curse: When hit with an enemy's spell or breath attack: Occasionally stuns |bperk2=ATK +15
Max HP +30 |bperk3=Mad Sunder Potency +2% |aperk1=Despot: Action start on odd turns until turn 10: Raises ATK and DEF for inorganics in the surrounding rhombus including self for 3 turns (self: 4 turns) |frizz-resist=Very Weak |sizz-resist=Half Res |crack-resist=Half Res |woosh-resist=Normal |bang-resist=Normal |zap-resist=Normal |zam-resist=Very Weak |snooze-resist=Normal |poison-resist=Normal |physical-seal-resist=Half Res |spell-seal-resist=Normal |martial-seal-resist=Normal |breath-seal-resist=Super Weak |hobble-resist=Normal |stun-resist=Half Res |blind-resist=Normal |curse-resist=Normal |paralysis-resist=Super Weak |confusion-resist=Immune |charm-resist=Normal }} ==Other Languages== {{OtherLanguages |es=Guíldiga|es-meaning=From the English guilder, a gold coin used in several European countries during medieval times.
