The gothic mitre has a defence bonus of +36 and reduces the accuracy of [[whack]], [[snooze]], [[fuddle]], and [[paralysis]] effects by 1/2. It can only be equipped by the [[Hero (Dragon Quest VIII)|Hero]] and can be purchased from the [[Baccarat]] [[Casino]] for 25,000 tokens. When worn together with the [[gothic vestment]], it changes the Hero's appearance.
