The '''fire claw''' is a recurring set of claws in the [[Dragon Quest (series)|''Dragon Quest'']] franchise. It is a mid-level weapon designed for martial artists and barehanded brawlers. When used as a tool in battle, it singes the enemy with a wave of fire.

The fire claw has an attack bonus of +60 and casts [[Sizzle]] on one enemy when used in battle. It can only be wielded by [[Alena]] and [[Psaro (Character)|Psaro]]. It is found behind the stairs at [[Femiscyra]].

The fire claw has an attack bonus of +53 and casts [[Sizz]] on a group of enemies when used in battle. The cremating claws' real appeal is that damage will be multiplied by 1.5 when attacking an enemy with no resistance to Sizz/fire breath, allowing the weapon to slash above its weight class into the end-game. It can only be wielded by [[Debora]] and monster companions that can use claws, including [[Saber]]. It can be sold for 3,525 gold and bought for 4,700 gold at [[Battenburg]] and [[Gotha]].

The fire claw has an attack bonus of +53 and a style bonus of +21. [[Carver]], [[Amos]], and all slime allies except [[Goowain]] can equip it. When used as an item in battle, the fire claw acts as a free use of the [[Frizzle]] spell. [[Tiger jackal|tiger jackals]] drop it 1/128th of the time and [[Jamirus]] has a 1/8th chance of dropping it. The claws cannot be bought, only sold for 4,275 gold. One set is found on the third floor of [[Murdaw's Keep]] and another on the sixth floor of the [[Pillar of Pegasus]].

The fire claws deals bonus, Sizz-element damage to the target monster that is half of the physical damage previously dealt before resistance apply and if said monster is defeated by the initial blow then the bonus damage will be redirected to a different target. This bonus damage will activate on the following physical-blow skills: [[Dragon Slash|dragon slash]], [[Double-Edged Slash|double-edged slash]], [[Flame Slash|flame slash]], [[frenzy]], [[Gust Slash|gust slash]], [[hatchet man]], [[Kacrackle Slash|kacrackle slash]], [[Lightning Slash|lightning slash]], [[Mercurial Thrust|mercurial thrust]], [[Metal Slash|metal slash]], & [[Undead Undoer|undead undoer]]

The fire claws have an attack bonus of +53, a style bonus of +21, and identical special effects and activating skills as seen in ''VI''. It can only be equipped by [[Ruff]]. It can be purchased from various shops for 7,700 gold and sold for 3,850 gold. Fire claws can also be won as a prize from the Lucky Panel game at the [[Casino]].

The fire claw has an attack bonus of +66 and can only be equipped by [[Morrie]]. It only appears in the 3DS version of the game and can be purchased from [[Empycchu]] for 8,800 gold and sold for 4,400 gold. It can also be made using the [[Alchemy Pot]]. It can be upgraded into a [[Cobra claw]] by combining it with a [[devil's tail]]. The fire claw is also rarely dropped by [[riptide]]s and [[Claws (monster)|claws]].
