One can be received as a reward from the first-time completion of [[Template:DQIXQuest/37|Quest #37]]: Funghi for a Fun Guy. It could be purchased for 1,700 gold from the [[DQVC]] when it was still available during Alchaid Week 3 and it can be sold for 850 gold.

It is used for creating [[Titan belt]]s and the classic recipes for the [[Strength ring]] and [[Wrecklace]] in the [[Alchemy Pot]] or sold for 325 gold. Two phials of finessence are required to complete Quest #12: Improving on Perfection 5.
