==Characteristics==
A beautiful curved sword made from light blue metal. It has a wing design as a guard, an orange jewel at the base of the blade, and a purple hilt. When used as a tool in battle, it will cast [[Buff]] on a single party member. Due to its light weight, the sword can even be wielded by characters who cannot use heavier swords. In the Official Guide Book for the Super Famicom version of ''Dragon Quest V'', the faerie foil has the design of a rapier-like sword with feathers on the hilt.
