The earthenwear has the {{Defence}} Bonus of +50.  The armor can worn by The {{Hero 3}} and [[Warrior]]s and is found in the basement of [[Gia's Navel]]. While it boasts high defense at the point in the game that you receive it in, it doesn't protect against magic or [[breath attack]]s, so it isn't necessarily the best choice.

In the {{NES}} version, it cannot be sold, but in the remakes it can be sold for 9,000 [[gold]] coins. For some, the choice to sell it may be more appealing than to wear it, given its lack of elemental protection.
