The '''Assassin's dagger''' is a [[knife]] in the series. Much like the [[poison needle]], it has a chance to instantly kill an enemy in a single strike, but it also capable of dealing normal damage as well.

The Assassin's dagger has an {{Attack}} bonus of +25, a 6.25% ({{fraction|1|16}}th) chance to instantly slay a foe, and can only be equipped by [[Mage]]s and [[Thief|Thieves]]. In the [[Super Famicom]] and {{Game Boy Color}} versions, an assassin's dagger can be found on the third {{T'n'T}} track near the [[Castle of the Dragon Queen]] and the [[Shrine of Shackles]] in a [[treasure chest]]. In all other versions, there is only one in the game, and it can be found in the basement of [[Romaria]] Castle, behind a door locked by the [[Ultimate Key]]. It can be sold for 4,125 gold, but it is not recommended to do so.
