'''Alexandria''' is a town in {{Dragon Quest VIII}}.

==Story==
Alexandria is the hometown of [[Jessica]] and the second town the {{Party 8}} visits in search for more clues about [[Dhoulmagus]], after leaving [[Farebury]]. When the player visits, you are confronted by two kids: [[List of characters in Dragon Quest VIII#Other Characters|Bangerz and Mash]]. The two then challenge the party to a battle, but before any fighting actually occurs, they are stopped by an old woman who then apologises to the Hero for the troublemakers. According to the villagers, the Alberts' hair Alistair has been murdered, and Alistair's sister Jessica has holed herself up in her room. The player can then visit the Albert manor, where Bangerz and Mash are guarding the entrance to Jessica's bedroom. The Hero then finds a small hole where {{Munchie}} can fit through, prompting a minigame to search her room. Soon it is discovered that Jessica is nowhere to be found, leaving behind a note on her desk. The note states that she wants to find who killed Alistar, and she is at the [[Tower of Alexandra]]. Upon visiting the tower, the party learns that Alistair's murderer was none other than Dhoulmagus himself.

Back at the Albert manor, the Hero witnesses a confrontation between Jessica and her mother Rosalind. Rosalind says that Jessica should mourn her brother's death like a proper lady, but Jessica intends to leave so she can avenge Alistair's death. Rosalind then states that she has no daughter and orders Jessica to leave the house. Jessica says she was planning to do so anyways, and leaves to her room to gather her things. She changes into her adventuring clothes and asks Bangerz and Mash to watch over the village, telling them that Alisair believed that one day, they would grow up to become great warriors. The party then leaves as well, heading to [[Port Prospect]] where Jessica is headed.
