Drag racer appears as a B-rank monster of the Dragon family as part of the original ''Dragon Quest VII'' event. It can be scouted on the 4th floor of the stages based on The Tallest Tower in the Whole Wide World. The drag racer can also be scouted as the player climbs to the 9th and 14th floors, with each floor increasing in difficulty. It could eventually be recruited in Part 2 of the main storyline in Chapter 7, Episode 4: Moving On. The drag racer can participate in the Battle Roads of [[Kiefer]], [[Mont Leonis]], and the [[Sweet troll]] as a party member.
