The Shimmering dress has a {{Defence}} bonus of +50 (+45 in the [[Nintendo Entertainment System|NES]] Version) and can be worn by the female {{Hero 4}}, [[Alena]], [[Maya]], and [[Meena]]. It has a 33% chance to reflect spells back at the caster, including healing spells. It can be found in [[Baron's Folly]]{{tt|*|NES version only}} and in a treasure chest on B1F of the [[Doorway to Nadiria]]. It also has a {{fraction|1|256}} chance of being dropped by [[Vis mager (Dragon Quest IV)|Vis magers]]. The dress can be sold for 6,600 gold, but item collectors may not wish to do so due to its rarity.
