In the PSX version of ''VII'', Sword Dance could only be learned as a hybrid skill by reaching rank 5 in the [[Warrior]] or [[Dancer]] vocations immediately after completing the other. Because [[Aishe]] has mastered the Dancer vocation prior to joining, she is capable of learning it faster than other characters after under-going a 30 battle "rehabilitation" period to fulfill the skill's requirement check.
*In the Nintendo 3DS version, Sword Dance costs 2 MP to use and is learned by reaching rank 8 of the [[Pirate]] vocation and rank 3 of the [[Hero (vocation)|Hero]] vocation. However, in this version it is an advanced skill that can be used while in those vocations. Aishe will display a unique animation when performing the technique.

In both versions the skill can activate a weapon's special effect per hit, such as the [[Poison needle]]'s instant-death chance, and despite the name Sword Dance is unaffected by [[Ban Dance]].

It is used by the enemies [[macho picchu]]s, [[ceramic sergeant]]s, [[mild headache]]s, and [[major headache]]s.
