Editing Great sabrecub (section)

The first appearance of the Great sabrecub, and also the first monster the {{Hero 5}} befriends in the game. Starting with the [[Nintendo DS]] remake, they can no longer be encountered in the wild, being replaced by the [[Jailcat]], though the Hero and Bianca still befriend a sabrecub. This replacement may have been performed to make its acceptance into the party more convincing, as many NPCs only regard it as a 'strange cat', though a few recognize what it is and what it will eventually become.

Though the species is no longer encountered in the wilderness in the DS and smartphone versions, they can occasionally be seen fighting in the [[Monster Arena]].
