==Elemental skills==
These attacks allows the user to channel elemental power to damage the enemy. Some modify the user's attack stat and interact with the enemy's defence, such as Flame Slash for instance, while others ignore the target's defence and are only affected by the resistance to that particular element.

Water did not exist as a distinct element until the addition of the [[Splish]] family of spells in ''[[Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3]]'', which would remain exclusive to that game until the Splish line reappeared in ''[[Dragon Quest Treasures]]''.
