The Shimmering dress has a {{Defence}} bonus of +90, reduces damage taken from breath and magic attacks by 33%, and can be equipped by any vocation as long as they are female. It is the strongest piece of armour in remakes of the game. In the Super Famicom and Game Boy Color versions, one can be received as a prize for completing the 4th [[T'n'T|T'n'T board]] (1st Goal) and more can be purchased from the 5th board in one of the shops for 19,000 gold. It can be sold for 14,250 gold, but it is not recommended to do so.
*As T'n'T boards were removed from the mobile and Nintendo Switch versions of the game, a single shimmering dress replaces one of the [[Mimic|Mimics]] in [[Zoma's Citadel]].

If the dress is worn along with a [[Silver tiara]] and [[Glass slippers]], the wearer will receive a +40 bonus to Style when being ranked for the Best-Dressed Contest.
