Royal soil can be collected on [[Newid Isle]] and [[Mt. Ulbaruun]] or has an 8% chance of being found in [[List of treasure map treasure chest ranks in Dragon Quest IX|Rank 2]] blue chests. It can be dropped by [[Barriearthenwarrior]]s, [[Drastic drackal]]s, [[Mad moai]]s, [[Terror troll]]s, and the [[Ragin' Contagion]]. Two urns are required to complete [[Template:DQIXQuest/36|Quest #36]]: Little Miss Bossy Boots. Royal soil is used extensively in different alchemy recipes:
