Ragnar appears as an A-rank character of the [[Hero family]] as part of the {{Dragon Quest IV}} event, where he can be recruited during the event's story. He joins the player in Chapter 2, Episode 4: A Royal Soldier of the event quests and he can be fully awakened by exchanging DQIV medals for Ragnar Crystals in the event's swap shop. He also stars in his own Battle Road and appears as a boss in the special Three Heroes battle alongside Alena and Kiryl.
