*Shulk - 18 year old Hom engineer who defends his homeland with his powerful sword, the Monado.  He first appeared in ''Xenoblade Chronicles'' and debuted in the 3DS/Wii U installment of ''SSB''.  The character can be unlocked by:
**Going through VS Matches, with Shulk being the 22nd character to unlock, or Classic Mode with Pikachu and the Villager.  After either condition is met, he must be defeated in the Gaur Plain.
**Recruiting him at the top of Waterfall Peak in the World of Light.

*Pyra and Mythra - Two halves of the legendary Aegis blade, forged eons before the ''Xenoblade Chronicles'' story begins. They first appeared in ''Xenoblade Chronicles 2'' and debuted in ''Ultimate'' as a DLC character, released on March 4th, 2021, with the ability to swap places in the middle of a match with one another.
