Gryphon appears as a B-rank monster of the [[Demon family]] as part of the original ''Dragon Quest VI'' event. It can be recruited from Chapter 3, Episode 3: The Shrine of Scales of the event quests at any difficulty, eventually being recruitable from Chapter 3, Episode 4: Percusso Library in the third part of the main storyline. The gryphon can participate in the Battle Roads of the [[Low djinks]], [[Sintaur]], and [[Dark Armour Spear Hyunckel]] as a party member.
