Zalenagrad is a small, peaceful town that [[Alena]] equates to being no different from [[Zamoksva]]'s garden in terms of excitement. It has a large church at the north end of the town where a [[troubadour]] named Joseph Starling recites his verses upon the balcony. The [[church]]'s side door is locked, so it cannot be entered in {{DQ4 Chapter 2}}. An obscure portion of the town can be accessed in {{DQ4 Chapter 5}} through the locked door, which contains a message for [[Alena]] written by [[Tsar Stepan|her father]] years prior after the Tsar experienced a lucid dream that he took as a vision o the future.
