== Wii Features == === Wii Menu === The Nintendo Wii menu has the same design as the digital network system by choosing a digital channel that contains playable but also information or other systems included. You can pick up a channel that you like with the Wii remote which there are six primary channels: the Disc Channel, Mii Channel, Photo Channel, Wii Shop Channel, Forecast Channel and News Channel. There gas been other channels released which the owner of the Wii can download them. === Backward compatibility === The Nintendo Wii consoles are also backward compatible with all the Nintendo GameCube software, Nintendo GameCube Memory Cards and controllers. The software has been achieved by the slot-loading drive's ability which it can accept the Nintendo GameCube Game Discs and the console supports progressive-scan output in 480p-enabled GameCube titles. Furthermore, also four GameCube controllers can be added and has two Memory Card slots. It can also be in contact with the [[Game Boy]] Advance Generation and e-Reader through the Game Boy Advance Cable which has also been used on the same way as that to the Nintendo GameCube. Unfortunately, the backward compatibility is not compatible with the Rumble Pak or the Game Boy Player. === Nintendo DS connectivity === The Nintendo Wii game console supports a wireless connectivity with the Nintendo DS so linking with the Nintendo Wii and the Nintendo DS can be done without any additional accessories. The player can use the Nintendo DS microphone and touchscreen as inputs for Wii games during the connectivity. The first game utilizing Nintendo DS-Wii connectivity is ''[[Pokémon]] Battle Revolution'', as example: players with the ''Pokémon Diamond'' Version or ''Pokémon Pearl'' Version are able to play battles with only using their Nintendo DS as their main controller. Nintendo later released the Nintendo Channel which allowed the owners of the Nintendo Wii to download game demos or additional data to their Nintendo DS in a process similar to that of a DS Download Station. The console is also able to expand Nintendo DS games. === Nintendo 3DS connectivity === You can also connect with you Nintendo 3DS with the Wii console throughout the DS app "Mii". There you can send one of your avatars that you have created on the Nintendo 3DS to the Nintendo Wii, or you can send also a avatar that you have created from the Wii to the Nintendo 3DS.
