Stone's Throw was retroactively added to the 2024 remake as a [[Merchant]] skill, learned at level 1 as their default ability. It deals 14~20 Strike-element damage to all enemies, and costs 3 {{MP}}.

Stone's Throw is used in the remakes by [[scarewell]]s, dealing 14~24 damage to the party with no way to dampen the damage beyond defending.

Stone's Throw is learned by advancing to rank 3 of the [[Thief]] vocation and deals 14~24 Strike damage to a group of foes.

It is used by the enemies [[well wisher]], [[scarewell]], and [[prison guard]].

==={{DQ7}}===
Learned in the same manner as the previous game in the [[Playstation]] version, and hits slightly harder in the 3DS remake for 20~35 damage.

It can be used by the enemies [[total nutter]], [[well wisher]], [[scarewell]], [[damned well]], [[bagley]], and [[swagman]].

Stone's Throw is a [[List of fisticuffs skills in Dragon Quest IX|Fisticuffs]] technique that both the {{Hero 8}} and [[Jessica]] can learn. It requires 17 skill points by the Hero, and 19 skill points by Jessica. The skill is slightly weaker in this installment, dealing only 8~20 damage on its own, but it can be buffed up via [[Tension]]. [[Hood]]s also use it.
*[[Morrie]] and [[Red]] are able to learn the skill for 7 & 18 skill points respectively in the 3DS port.

This ability is learned with 3 skill points invested into Fisticuffs skill. The skill returns to it's previous damage range of 10~24, but now possesses an element modifier to deal less or more damage depending on the enemy's resistance to Earth techniques.
