Sparkie is first encountered in {{DQ4 Chapter 5}}, and is one of several dragons found in [[Zenithia]] that is in the care of [[Orifiela]].  She offers his assitance to the party, and will be present in the line up until the final battle of Chapter 5. 

In {{DQ4 Chapter 6}}, he will leave the group when they exit [[Rosehill]] after the revived [[Rose]] joins them.  According to Rose, Sparkie returns to Zenithia to tell the residents of the castle about the blooming of the [[Yggdrasil flower]].  Afterwards, he can be seen with Orifiela again.

According to a diary found in Zenithia's library, Sparkie was born in the same year as Orifiela.

Sparkie appears shortly after Psaro arrives back in Rosehill after conquering the lower echelon of the Cradle of Corruption. Rose is capable of understanding him, and translates his message, the message being a request from the [[Zenith Dragon]], who seeks an audience with Psaro.
