Sleeping hibiscus has a chance of putting a single enemy to sleep and is consumed upon use. It can be picked up from sparkly spots in the [[Heliodorian Foothills]], [[the Emerald Coast]], and [[L'Académie de Notre Maitre des Médailles]] or dropped by [[funghoul]]s and [[chewlip]]s, as well as their vicious and malicious counterparts respectively. One can be found in a pot at [[the Sultan's Palace]] in [[Gallopolis]]. One can be received as a reward for completing Quest #1: The People's Friend. It can be sold for 34 gold.

Sleeping hibiscus is only used in a single [[List of fun-size forge recipe book locations in Dragon Quest XI|recipe]] for the [[Fun-Size Forge]]:
