==Characteristics==
The robe of serenity was originally depicted as a long pink mantle that covers the wearer's head and reaches down to the ground. There are several dangling emblems of stars and moons at the hem, on the front, and on the hood of the robe. It is also worn with a small gold circlet around the hood. In ''IX'' and ''A Hero's Bonds'', the robe's design was changed to a more traditional robe with the same gold crescent moon and star designs on the sleeves and the hem.

In most of its appearances, it provides extra protection if the wearer is [[Sleep (status)|asleep]] or have been [[Paralysis|paralysed]]. In ''IX'', the robe increases the wearer's resistance to being put to sleep, and in ''XI'', the robe restores a small amount of the wearer's HP each turn in battle.
