==Characteristics==
The typical mummy and [[mummy boy]] look very similar, although the standard mummy has a blue hue in its mouth. Beginning with the {{Super Famicom}} remake of the third game, the bandages that cover mummies have have a slight tint of purple to better distinguish the two. Underneath their coverings, they appear to have pitch-black skin and their eyes glow yellow. Starting with their original appearance and in many games afterwards, mummies specialise in being able to send parties of adventurers to [[Sleep (status)|sleep]] with their abilities.
