==Characteristics==
Metal slime knights are diminutive swordsmen riding on the backs of [[Slime family|metal slimes]]. They wield a sword and shield of dark pink metal, donning green armour and helmets with a purple plume. They do not yield the same amount of experience as their mounts, as either the [[metal slime]]s that let themselves get captured by the [[slime knight]]s are the least experienced slimes, or the slime knights shield their steeds from the finishing blow. Indeed, they are not even vulnerable to anti-metal weapons and skills, nor do they possess astonishing speed, a high chance of dodging attacks and immunity to magic. Instead, rumours abound that the steed is merely painted chrome.

These slime knights often have the ability to cast healing magic on themselves and fellow monsters like their green cousins. In some games, they are even able to perform some skillful feats or swordplay and acrobatic somersaults off the backs of their metallic steeds.

In the PlayStation 2 remake of ''V'' and the Nintendo 3DS version of ''VII'', the metal slime knight was further distinguished from an ordinary one by wielding a scimitar, a round shield emblazoned with the design of a [[king slime]], wearing purple gloves and boots, and a red plume on their helmets.
