While the Medal king does not make a physical appearence, he is a character intrinsically linked to [[L'Académie de Notre Maitre des Médailles]]. According to one of the books in the school's library, l'Académie was founded by a nameless mini medal-obsessed king from a distant land, who wished that his daughter would grow up loving them as much as he. Furthermore, according to a nearby slime, the shambled hut hidden under the well in the garden is the restive residence of a monarch similarly inclined (though considering how long monsters, including slimes, live its possible that this king and the founder are one and the same). Nowadays, many of the students of the Académie doubt the veracity of the story behind the founding of the school.
