==Characteristics==
Grim keepers are {{Demon}}s with purple skin, moss green wings, a long pointy tail, and two pairs of golden curved horns on their heads. They have muscular bodies and their faces have simian features with a pair of large pointed ears and four digits on each of their limbs. Their faces and chests are the same color as their wings. They carry their wicked scythes in both of their hands.

The Grim keeper has gone on to make appearances in {{X}}, {{XI}} ({{3DS}} and {{Definitive Edition}}) as well as some of the spin-offs.

They share the same name as [[Grim keeper (Dragon_Quest_VI)|grim keeper]] from {{VI}} in both English and Japanese, but are otherwise different enemies entirely.
