==Appearance and personality==
The Earth Spirit has the appearance of a muscular [[Golem]]-like creature composed completely out of earthen materials, but with more intricate and expressive details than those of the common clods. Most of His body appears to be comprised of boulders and He wears stone rings on His wrists and ankles, although given His structure these may simply be part of His body. The Earth Spirit also has holes throughout His body that show geode-like material underneath, and possesses gold markings on both His forehead and His upper arms. He has a squat face with plain features and purple eyes. In the {{3DS}} remake of ''VII'', the Earth Spirit has received a redesign that gives Him the appearance of being made of bricks, with His forearms and calves being covered by two sets of metal bands, His upper arms having gold torcs, the geode-like openings being replaced with glowing magma, and His face has been altered.

When summoned forth, the Earth Spirit demonstrates a more reserved demeanor than any of His siblings. He is slow to act, befitting His nature, but lends His aid to the party and the people of [[Al-Balad]] once upon realizing the dire nature of the world's circumstances.
