Desperation Blast can be learned by [[Dhoulmagus]]'s second form. It costs 90 {{MP}} to cast and deals major [[Bang]]-element spell damage to all enemies that cannot be reflected.

Desperation Blast can be learned by [[Mortamor_#Dragon_Quest_Tact|Old King Mortamor]] at Level 52 and costs 108 {{MP}} to cast. It has a range of two squares in front of him and inflicts moderate Bang-type spell damage to random enemies five times in a rectangular area of effect, as well as having a chance to reduce their Spell Res. Upgrading the spell increases its damage and reduces the amount of MP it costs to cast.
