The helm is obtained by giving the [[Zenithium]] ore to the [[dwarf]] who travelled alongside [[Ortega]] years prior to the events of the game. The player is first made aware of the ore when speaking to the reformed [[robbin' 'oodlum]]s in [[Quagmire Cave]], and it's location is deep within [[Gaia's Navel]]. Taking the Zenithium to the dwarf triggers a cutscene that results in the little man reforging the battered helm he made for his comrade many years ago, replacing it with the auroral helm. Note that while the new helmet loses the status ailment protection granted by the original, this can be mitigated by equipping any of the several [[List of accessories in Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake|newly added accessories]].
