A common sight in Furrowfield. Though incredibly weak, they tend to attack in large numbers -- especially when commanded by more powerful enemies, such as the ''[[Army Ant]]''. Such groups protect the three Dracky Stack components throughout the island, and an enormous group of the insects surround Britney shortly after she is rescued.

They also spawn in the Isle of Awakening, born from umber blocks, and on several Explorer's Shores. Notably, on Blossom Bay, they are spawned from pestilential nests.

Iron ants will occasionally drop wheat seeds when defeated.
