In the base version of ''XI'', players who preordered the game from the Square Enix Store received a [[Dragon Quest XI DLC|download code]] for the Healer, a Supplicant card, and 3 [[seed of skill|seeds of skill]], which can be redeemed at the beginning of the game. Japanese players were able to receive a code for the card from the September 2017 issue of the magazine [[Wikipedia:V-Jump|V-Jump]].
