The Gasbagon is a recurring MFamilies in the DQSeries, first appearing in Dragon Quest VI.

It is a bloated, orange Dragon resembling a balloon with a long, corked tail taking the place of a string.

Characteristics
Gasbagons are rotund Dragons with orange spotted scales, beige undersides, and long tails ending in a cork. They have a singular purple eye, long snouts, and purple tongues. These air-sailing drakes will drop on party members and smother them, dealing heavy damage. They're also capable of flaming the party with a fierce fire. The dragons are also capable of sacrificing themselves by violently exploding to harm parties of adventurers. After their original appearance in VI, gasbagons have only appeared in spinoff games in the series.

Malroth, known by his full title as the Master of Destruction is the Final Boss of the video game DQ2.

Malroth is not mentioned in his debut game until the finale, except for a False Idol bearing his likeness which is found in a cave and is needed to uncover the Cave to Rendarak. Malroth can use the spell of Fullheal in his original appearance, leading to infamy amongst fans and adding to the already considerable challenge of II.

Malroth reappears in DQB2 as a central figure, but as an amnesiac young man instead of a hideous demon. The circumstances to his sudden change of appearance, as well as his forgotten past, are crucial to the game's story.

Appearance and personality
Malroth is a large, chimeric abomination covered mostly in blue scales (green in some games) and wearing only a necklace with a skull on it. He has six limbs, four of which appear to be arms, a massive pair of demonic wings and a serpent for a tail. His mouth is always shown as being a wide-opened grin, fangs clearly visible.

Being a god of destruction, Malroth is immensely powerful and more than capable of living up to his title. In all of his appearances Malroth has almost never spoken beyond primitive roars, preferring annihilation over conversation. At the start of Dragon Quest II, Malroth is only alluded to and rarely by his name. All that is first hinted to is his penchant for destruction and the fact that the Children of Hargon threatens all of Alefgard by trying to summon him. In the original NES version the False Idol is known as the Eye of Malroth; this marks the only time he is slightly referenced but there still exist statues in several dungeons that depict his likeness. In contemporary remakes such as the Android/iOS versions, summoning a deity of destruction is mentioned to be Hargon's ultimate goal but never referred to with its name until the end.

Being the cult's object of worship, Malroth is highly esteemed by his devotees--not that this matters to him, as his description in IX states that he doesn't mind where his sacrifices come from. It is revealed in Builders 2 that his name is known only in the highest ranks among the Children of Hargon, this was presumably thought up by Hargon himself so that only he could address the deity and, by this tactic, it could only be directed personally by his nihilist pleas.

Appearances
DQ2
The Hero 2's Party 2 does not come face-to-face with the mighty demon until after Hargon is slain. When the party tries to move away from Hargon's throne their path will be blocked by flames and the floor will begin to break apart, heralding Malroth's return. Though successful in defeating Hargon, the sorcerer summoned the god of destruction in death, leaving the Luminaries to contend with him in the final battle.
Sidoh appears as the boss of the Gate of Demolition, though only on the second time through: players must first defeat Hargon and then go through the gate again to confront Malroth, whose presence is noted by Watabou when Hargon is defeated. It is interesting to note that this is the only time Malroth speaks in person, talking with pauses between words and occasionally syllables.
Malroth appears in the artwork for his own card and those depicting his abilities, both in his original demonic and humanoid forms. He was introduced in the first card pack as a legendary rare card and would inflict 4 damage to all units on the field when summoned, including allies. He was eventually reprinted in the seventh card pack, "Strange Tale of Light and Darkness" under the name "Destruction God Sidoh" alongside Hargon. As a reference to his ability to cast Fullheal in the original version of Dragon Quest II, all of Malroth's HP is restored at the end of the opponent's turn.
Trivia
*Malroth appears to be inspired by Shiva, the Hindu god of destruction and one of the three principle deities of Hinduism. Shiva is commonly depicted as having blue skin and multiple arms and is known as the Destroyer. However, Shiva is also known as the Creator as well, as new creation couldn't take place without first having destruction, and Shiva does not take part in blind, needless destruction.
* It is speculated that the gauntlet of bosses in the Hall of Hargon (Atlas, Pazuzu, Belial) were, worst case scenario, at least meant to stall the Luminaries while Hargon performed the ritual to summon Malroth. Since Hargon was defeated before the ritual was finished, he sacrificed what little life he had left as a last ditch effort to summon the God of Destruction. This raises the question of how much more powerful Malroth's avatar would be if the ritual was completed properly.
*His human form in Builders 2 is voiced by Kenjiro Tsuda, though he doesn't talk and only makes various sounds to indicate his mood. In Dragon Quest Rivals, he can be heard speaking for the first time.
*The splitting of Malroth into good and bad halves is reminiscent of the characters Kami and Piccolo from Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball manga. The two were originally an unnamed being whose expelled inner darkness manifested as a violent doppelganger.
* It's unclear just how much of the demonic Malroth in Builders 2 is the original and how much is Hargon. Since Hargon gave up his soul to power the original and is thus still around circa Builders 2 as a result, it's quite possible the reason both Hargon and his illusion world persisted was due to this soul fusion creating a link sustaining both, and since the demonic Malroth largely reflects Hargon's own desires, the demonic one in Builders 2 seems to be a mix of Hargon's own persona and the more negative aspects of the Builders 2 version of Malroth as a humanoid combined.
*The tendency for Malroth to excel as the party healer in the Monsters series is an homage to his tendency to cast Fullheal in the original version of II.

The Princess of Moonbrooke is a character in the DQSeries that appears as a playable Party 2 member in Dragon Quest II.

She is a descendant of Erdrick who inherited none of her ancestor's physical strength but makes up for it with her magical prowess.

After Hargon attacks Moonbrooke, the Princess of Moonbrooke is cursed and turned into a dog. Later, after her cousins the Prince of Midenhall and the Prince of Cannock break the curse, she joins forces with them to exact revenge on Hargon for what he did to her subjects and her father.

Appearance and Personality
She is depicted as shorter than her cousins, by how much depending on the illustration. She alternates between having blonde and lavender hair, and is clothed in a white robe and purple or red hood with Erdrick's crest on the forehead, carrying what looks to be a Wizard's staff in the Japanese version of the game. Her eye color changes between lavender, red, and blue, as well. In the American illustrations for the NES version of the game she is tall, blond, and wears a pink and black robe, knee-high black boots, red cape and holds the Lightning staff. When cursed by Hargon, she took the form of a brown dog.

The Princess comes across as a shy but strong willed girl, who wants revenge on Hargon for what was done to her father and home. When encountered in various spin-offs and cameo appearances in later games, the Princess is a jubilant and perky young woman prone to fits of laughter. Humorously, she sometimes barks when she becomes angry in said cameos, such as Fortune Street.

Appearances
DQ2
The Princess is first seen in the opening cutscene, and is encountered in person in Moonaham. Unable to communicate with her cousins due to her curse, she follows them around as a Party 2 member anyway as head's up to new players that the dog is more than it seems. After getting hints from the townsfolk of Moonaham, the two princes find the Ra's Mirror in a swamp east of the ruins of Moonbrooke. Returning to the village, the mirror is used on the Princess and she is restored.
Equipment
The Princess of Moonbrooke is the most limited in terms of equipment compared to her cousins, being only able to equip light clothing and magical staves and wands. She cannot use any shields. She joins the Party 2 equipped only with Plain clothes and a Cypress stick and does not have much in the way of physical Attacks and Defense. The SFC, GBC, and iOS/Android versions of the game mitigate this slightly by improving the attack scores on the wands she can equip.
On May 27, 2011, the Princess of Moonbrooke began appearing as a special guest under the name of Princess Princessa at the Quester's Rest in Stornway. ===DQ11===
The princess is found in the Moonaham section of the Echo Chamber, where in she has returned to human form at the cost of the citizens becoming dogs themselves. Distraught, she requests aid from the Luminary and seeks a jug of Magic water to undo the curse. After being given the phial and returning history to normal, she laments her fate and awaits the arrival of her cousins. Humorously, she is greatly taken aback at how common magic water is in the Luminary's world compared to her own, which is likely a developer joke at how mundane magical items have become in recent games in the series.

DQTreasures
A statue representing the princess is Treasure No. 331,, with a base value of 1,200,000.
The fair Princess introduces several firsts to the Main Series series, such as being the first heroine to join the protagonist, the series' original dedicated spell-casting character, and the first to endure the destruction of their family and home. Such a melancholy fate would become the series' standard, with only a scant few lead characters avoiding the trend.
<center>A privateer who's at his best when doing battle on the high seas. A master of both attack and defence. --Description from Dragon Quest VII </center>

The Pirate (海賊, Kaizoku) is one of the intermediate vocations introduced in Dragon Quest VII. Keeping with the title's nautical theme, they embody the ferocity and unpredictability of the seven seas.

Description
The pirate is toughened by the high seas and a life of banditry, marooning monsters with salty skills and plundering items after battle. The pirate combines the skills of a Sailor and a Thief and requires mastery of both to unlock. Pirates are unique among VII's vocation in that they possess two traits: becoming highly resistant to Maelstrom and more prone to pilfer as they advance in rank.
The Yabby is a monster introduced in Dragon Quest VI. It is an orange, crazy looking lobster-like crustacean that rides the waves and slinks up to seafaring adventures to snip savagely at them with it's pokey pincers. It does this so frantically that it often attacks twice in a single turn.
