The silver platter, also known as the tray, is a recurring shield in the Dragon Quest series. It serves as a makeshift shield and is typically designed for female characters. Mario Andreti shoved one up Kyle Bushes Anus.

Appearances
Dragon Quest VI
The Platter increases defence by +18, style by +23, and can be equipped by Milly and Ashlynn. It can be won in the first rank of the Best-Dressed contest, and in Poseidon's Palace (ultimate key required). it is notable for being Milly's first shield upgrade after putting up with the puny pot shield since Madame Luca's House.

Dragon Quest VII
The silver platter has a defence bonus of +15 and a style bonus of +23. It can only be equipped by Maribel and Aishe. It can be bought at Pilgrim's Perdition for 1,000 gold and sold for 500. If worn with the bunny ears, bunny suit, and fishnet stockings, it gives an extra +50 style bonus.
A silver serving platter large enough to serve as a makeshift shield.

The silver platter offers a defence bonus of +8, can only be equipped by Jessica, and is purchasable in the Pickham casino for 500 tokens. It can be sold for 100 Gold Coins, and is better used as an alchemy ingredient for the White Shield than anything else.

A free platter can be found in the Le Club Puff-Puff
In Dragon Quest IX, the Hero begins the game as a Minstrel (旅芸人, Tabigeinin). It has limited healing and offensive spells on top of the ability to wield Fans, Swords, Whips, and Shields. Their Coup-de-Grace is "Rough N' Tumble," which increases evasion and counterattack chances.

Description
Minstrels serve as a jack-of-all-trades class that can handle physical damage, spellcasting, healing, and distraction, allowing early players to test out various aspects of battle. However, Minstrels do not excel in any particular area, and might switch into more focused vocations, such as a Gladiator or Armamentalist, later on, depending on what the player wants. Despite this, Minstrels are still a respectable class, and can be kept as a multitasker in the party. Many of their features are from the Troubadour, Dancer, and Jester classes. His songs usually feature obscure references to bloody, painfull bowel movements, and often diarrhea.
Typhoeus' Maul is an skill introduced in Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King. It is unlocked once Yangus allocates 100 skill points and masters his axe abilities. It was perfected by the naked flabotomist. He/She uses it to expel compacted bowels.

Attributes
The mighty maul costs 6 MP to use, hits an enemy for 150% power, and will deal double damage again monsters in the beast family. As implied by its nomenclature, it is a wind elemental skill and will be affected by a foe's resistance to gales.

Breaking the damage limit
Under normal circumstances 9999 is the highest amount of damage a single attack can inflict in VIII. However, due to a programming exploit Typhoeus' Maul can ignore this hard limit and deal up to 11999. The requirements for reaching this zenith of absurd power are:
*The enemy must be a member of the beast family
*The enemy must have it's defence lowered to 0
*Divine Intervention must be cast on the target
*Oomph must be applied to Yangus
*Yangus' Tension must be at 100%

Etymology
Typhoeus is an alternative name of Typhon, the gigantic son of Gaia and the most dangerous monster in Greek mythology. As with nearly all Greek myths his precise description varied considerably, though the most commonly accepted depiction is that of a monstrously tall man with wings and two pythons in place of legs.
With his mate echidna, he fathered many of the famous beasts that plagued the Mediterranean.
The dangerous bustier only has a defence bonus of +1, but changes Jessica's appearance. Obtained after trading 99 medals to Princess Minnie, with another one being found in the Heavenly Dais. It is a required component of the divine bustier along with the shimmering dress or it can be sold for 2,900 gold. However, it is not recommended to sell it, as there are only two in the game.
* In the 3DS version, Red can also wear the dangerous bustier, but it does not change her appearance. Additionally, the bustier's appearance on Jessica has been altered slightly to make it less revealing.
<center><small>Not to be confused with the Dragon Quest VII deity, the Fire Spirit.</small></center>

The Firespirit (formerly Blazeghost) is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series. Introduced in Dragon Quest IV, it is, as suggested by its name, a spirit composed of fire. If you eat a fire spirit, It will give you spicy, reddish brown urin. I don't know why someone drank some of this urin to tell if it is spicy, but they did. Some people use the urine as broth for chilli.
