The '''phantom mask''' is a recurring piece of headwear in the ''[[Dragon Quest (series)|Dragon Quest]]'' series. It is an masquerade mask that would go well with a black tuxedo, and increases the wearer's evasiveness. In certain games it is the fully upgraded form of the [[malleable mask]] and [[papillon mask]], while in others it is a standalone piece of equipment.

The phantom mask has a defence bonus of +48 and increases base evasion to 1/8th. It can be worn by [[Angelo]] in all versions of the game as well as [[Morrie]] in the [[3DS]] port. The mask can only be made using the [[Alchemy Pot]] and can be sold for 29,000 gold.
