Kazapple is a spell in the Dragon Quest Series. It draws MP from all four party members to strike an enemy with lightning. It cannot be used when even one of the casters have zero MP or has a status effect.
Kazapple is learned by the hero at level 37. It costs 15 MP from all party members. It cannot be used if Alena, Ragnar, or Torneko are in the party as they don't have MP.
Anyone in who is/has been a Legend (via Rank 8 of the Hero class) can use Kazapple. Unlike Dragon Quest IV, all characters can use Kazapple because they all gain MP. However, due to this, the MP needed has been raised to 20.
Usually available only for the Hero (or hero class), Kazap is a thunder spell that strikes all enemies. Starting with Dragon Quest V, it targets a group of enemies.
Appearances
Dragon Quest III
The Hero learns it at level 41. The GBC Version of the game calls it Thordain. The Rubiss sword, which is exclusive to the GBC port has the effect of the spell when used as an item in battle. Regardless of the version being played, the spell deals between 175 and 225 points of damage to all enemies for 15 MP.
Dragon Quest IV
Kazap is learned by the Hero at level 35, and behaves identically to its Aliahan counterpart.
Dragon Quest V
Kazap deals the same range of damage as before, but is now limited to striking a single group of foes, and is now learned by a variety of companions.
{| cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2" border="1"
Dragon Quest VI
Kazap can only be learned by advancing to rank 4 of the Hero vocation and retains its damage and affect range from the previous game.

Dragon Quest VII
Kazap is acquired by becoming a rank 6 Hero in the original playstation version, and 5 in the Nintendo 3DS remake. It may also be learned by reaching the seventh rank of the Giga Mutant monster vocation. If behaves as it did in the previous two games.
Dragon Quest VIII
Kazap is learned by mastering the Hero's Courage skill (100 points). As with nearly all spells in this installment, Kazap's initial damage range has been lowered to deal between 100 and 140 points to a single group, but may raised to its original potency once the protagonist's wisdom score is high enough.
