The platinum headwear is the prize for completing rank 5 of the Best-Dressed Contest. It increases defence by +38 and style by +42, and cannot be sold. The Hero, Carver, Amos, and Terry can equip it.
Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past[edit | edit source]
The platinum headgear is sold in Dinky Dell for 6,100, and it increases defence and style by +28 and +42 respectively. The Hero and Aishe can equip it.
Dragon Quest VII Reimagined[edit | edit source]
The platinum headgear boosts defence by 36 points and charm by 20 points. It can be equipped by the Hero and Aishe. It's purchase price is 5000 gold coins and it's sale price is 2500 coins. It can be purchased in Aeolus Vale, in both the past and the present. It can also be obtained in the Lucky Panel minigame. Metal dragon slimes might drop it.
