The Leather dress is clothing in the series.
Characteristics[edit | edit source]
A simple frock made from tanned hides suitable for female adventurers. There have been two designs for the leather dress in the series.
- The original design from Dragon Quest IV is a simple minidress made from brown leather, with blue cloth at the collar. In official art, it is worn with a belt around the waist, leather gloves, and a pair of leather boots. This design was brought back for the HD-2D Remake games.
- The design from Dragon Quest VII is a frock made from light brown leather, with darker brown leather at the bust. This design has been used for most games going forward.

Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation[edit | edit source]
The Leather dress has a Defence bonus of +15 and can be equipped by any vocation as long as they are female. It can be purchased for 420 gold in Khoryv and sold for 315 gold. One can be found in a treasure chest on B3F of the Underground Lake. It only appears in remake versions of the game.

The Leather dress has a Defence bonus of +14 and can be equipped by the female Hero, Alena, Meena, and Maya. It can be purchased for 250 gold from Laissez Fayre, Aubout du Monde, Havre Léon, and Femiscyra and sold for 187 gold. In remake versions of the game, one can be found in a chest of drawers in Femiscyra.
Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride[edit | edit source]
The Leather dress has a Defence bonus of +17 and can only be equipped by Bianca, Nera, Debora, and the Daughter. It can be purchased for 380 gold at Roundbeck and sold for 190 gold. It is also part of Bianca's initial equipment when she joins as an adult.
Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation[edit | edit source]
The Leather dress has a Defence bonus of +17, a Style bonus of +15, and can only be equipped by Milly and Ashlynn. It can be purchased for 380 gold in Port Haven and sold for 285 gold coins.
Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past[edit | edit source]
The Leather dress has a Defence bonus of +18, a Style bonus of +15, and can only be equipped by Maribel and Aishe. It can be purchased for 680 gold from Emberdale in the past once the Flaming Festival begins, as well as at the general store in the present, along with Frobisher, and sold for 450 gold. One can be found in a dresser in Nottagen in the present. Leather dresses can be won as prizes from the Lucky Panel at the Casino.
Dragon Quest VII Reimagined[edit | edit source]
The Leather dress has a Defence bonus of +17 and can only be equipped by Maribel and Aishe. It can be purchased for 700 gold from Emberdale in the past once the Flaming Festival begins, Emberdale in the present, and Frobisher, and sold for 350 gold. Leather dress is a 1♦ prize from the Lucky Panel at Pilgrim's Rest in the past.

The Leather dress has a Defence bonus of +15 and can only be worn by Jessica, as well as Red in the Nintendo 3DS version. It can be purchased for 380 gold coins in Ascantha and sold for 190 gold coins. One can be found in a dresser in Arcadia and it can also be made in the Alchemy Pot.
